Federal Policy Success
Each year, providers must submit reports attesting that they have successfully met government regulations for use of an Electronic Health Record (EHR). The attestation program is called the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and was created by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). In order to be considered an exceptional performer for MIPS, providers must obtain a score of more than 70.
